Visible-Light Photocatalyst to Remove Indoor Ozone under Ambient Condition

Ozone is a kind of hazardous gas in indoor areas and needs to be removed order protect the human respiratory system. Previous methods include physical adsorption, thermal treatment, electromagnetic radiation removal, catalysis photocatalysis. However, they all have limited effects. This research introduced novel milestone remove ozone by utilizing visible light photocatalysis technique under ambient condition. The modified sol–gel method was applied prepare photocatalysts, strontium titanate (SrTiO3) rhodium-doped (SrTiO3:Rh). In addition, SrTiO3:Rh further immersed N3 dye improve its photocatalytic performance. Batch system continuous-flow were used quantify removal rate measure conversions ozone, respectively. results showed that possessed higher condition compared with commercial P25 TiO2 catalyst. based catalysts can also successfully perform photodecomposition continuous flow Note current converters aircraft utilize thermal-catalysts, which only operated at high temperature. reveals promising photo process, possibly replace visible-light driven converters, boast performance
